The Role
Oversee financial planning, analysis, and reporting for the investment banking division, managing budgets and ensuring IFRS compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Execution & Leadership: Take extreme ownership of complex, end-to-end projects within your domain. Lead strategic initiatives, ensuring all deliverables align seamlessly with Deutsche Bank's long-term business objectives and rigorous quality standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with diverse teams spanning product management, design, engineering, and operations. Act as a pivotal bridge, translating complex technical or operational requirements into actionable, clear strategies that drive unified team success.
- Continuous Optimization & Innovation: Proactively identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or areas for improvement within existing workflows. Conceptualize, propose, and implement innovative solutions, methodologies, or tools to dramatically enhance performance, scalability, and overall output quality.
- Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Cultivate a culture of continuous learning by actively mentoring junior team members. Conduct insightful code reviews, operational audits, or peer evaluations. Organize internal workshops and share best practices to elevate the collective expertise of the entire department.
- Stakeholder Management: Confidently present project updates, data-driven insights, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders. Ensure absolute transparency regarding project timelines, potential risks, and resource requirements.
- Adaptability & Crisis Management: Swiftly navigate shifting priorities and unforeseen challenges. Maintain composure under pressure, applying critical thinking and rapid problem-solving skills to mitigate risks and ensure uninterrupted operational continuity.
Requirements
- Educational Background: A recognized Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in a highly relevant field from an accredited institution. This formal education serves as the foundational bedrock for the advanced problem-solving required in this role.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5+ years of demonstrably successful, hands-on experience working as a Financial Controller (English Speaking & Visa Sponsorship) or in a closely related capacity. Your track record should highlight a history of successfully delivering high-impact projects and overcoming significant professional challenges.
- Technical & Domain Mastery: Exceptional proficiency in the core tools, technologies, and methodologies intrinsic to the Financial Controller (English Speaking & Visa Sponsorship) profession. You must possess a deep, nuanced understanding of industry best practices and the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to highly complex, real-world scenarios.
- Language Proficiency: Absolute fluency in English (minimum C1 level) is mandatory, as it is our primary business language. While German is not strictly required for daily operations, a basic understanding (A1/A2 level) or a strong willingness to learn is highly advantageous for seamless social integration and long-term success in Germany.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Prowess: A highly analytical mindset with the ability to dissect multifaceted problems, analyze large datasets or complex systems, and synthesize clear, actionable, and innovative solutions.
